Weston Day 2010

Hello Baldwinians Weston Day 2010 was celebrated on July 10 at BBHS. Thank you Principal, Staff and Students of BBHS for making this day memorable. Mr Kiran Giri - a BBHS veteran was the chief guest. He certainly did charm the audience especially when he announced a donation of Rs 10,000 towards the swimming pool fund from the OBA. Amongst the Old Boys, at the pool, we had our wonderful President Shakeel, Sridhar, Ashok Gulvadi, Air Cdre Ali, Khayum, Kris Iyer (from USA), Farooq (from Saudi Arabia), Gourishankar , Arif Wahid, Tilak Babu, myself and other younger Old Boys. It was great fun to watch the competition. It brought back many wonderful memories. More news of the results follows. The Weston day motivated all of us to do something for the swimming pool - it needs to be upgraded. Please share your views on this subject. The much awaited cricket match followed. The OBA team won. It was inspiring to see the cricketing elegance and skill of OBA cricketers despite their odd shapes and sizes . The highlights of the cricket match were : (a) Shakeel's commentary - non stop entertainment for over 4 hours (b) Skill of Alamdar and Farooq (I forget two other names - sorry friends) (c) Skill, Josh and Commitment of Ranjith - he left us all gasping in awe The awards ceremony before lunch was fun and exciting. Old boys between 30 and 50 were as excited as little ones when it came to receiving prizes for their wonderful work on the field. It was delightful to bond with the school, the teachers and the school boys - we all felt rejuvenated !! Shout all hail for Baldwins !! Goverdhan - on behalf of the others
